Review: Trilogy Nib By Regalia Writing Labs

The nib that does it all and has it all. Broad, medium, fine and extra fine, all rolled into one.

My luck, if I have any, isn’t really good luck. It’s not bad, but it’s not good either. So when I contacted Ralph from Regalia Writing Labs, about the Trilogy nib I wasn’t really thinking anything would come of it, because that’s just generally not how things work for me. But as luck would have it (for once), I received my broad Trilogy nib around a month later and I could not be happier.

It’s a #6 nib that doesn’t take an ink cartridge, so it has to be placed in an appropriate eyedropper pen, which fortunately I have, in my Franklin-Christoph model 03. So no issues there.

The line variations this nib can create are significant and precise.

The nib is very wet and smooth. Very, very, smooth, both on the broad side and when you turn the nib upside down. All I can say is, that if you don’t like using up too much of your ink on any one pen, then this nib is not for you, because it flies through ink. But it showcases it so very well that I can’t consider that a con.

It’s not an inexpensive nib. But it’s uniqueness, and the fact that it’s made by hand, make the price I was quoted very competitive to my mind. I really don’t think I have to write much else about this incredible nib.

The pictures speak for themselves.

So if you’re looking for something unique and a bit adventurous to help bring the spark back to one of your older fountain pens, maybe one you haven’t used in a while, then look no further because this is it.

It’s just a whole lot of fun to write with.

Thank You For Reading! (Or in this case looking at the pictures)
